Terms of Business & Quotation Terms

These terms set out the basis on which The Blake Reid Group Ltd (‘BRG’, ‘we’, ‘us’ or ‘our’) provides quotations and carries out works for customers.

Contract Terms & Trade Conditions

  1. Procurement & Validity

    Please note: Final invoiced amounts for materials may vary based on merchant prices at procurement. Quote valid for 30 days. Material costs are subject to change without notice due to supply chain fluctuations.

  2. Hidden Defects Clause

    Estimates assume structurally sound sub-surfaces. Any rot, damp, or hazardous materials (e.g., asbestos) discovered during strip-out will halt work and require a separate variation order.

  3. Client-Supplied Goods Disclaimer

    We do not warranty the longevity of client-supplied fixtures. Any return visits required due to the failure of client-supplied goods will be fully chargeable at our standard day rate.

  4. Waste & Site Access

    Quote assumes clear access to the property and standard non-hazardous waste disposal. Parking permits and congestion charges not explicitly itemised will be billed at cost.

Agreed Payment Schedule (Standard Terms)

25% / 50% / 25% Payment Milestone Structure

  1. Deposit (25%)

    Payable to secure schedule and commence procurement.

  2. Midpoint (50%)

    Payable at project midpoint following first-fix inspection.

  3. Completion (25%)

    Strictly within 7 days of practical completion & signoff.

Working Hours & Site Standards

  • Working hours strictly 08:00 - 16:30 Mon-Fri.
  • Working hours & noisy tasks restricted between 09:00 - 16:00 to comply with London Borough environmental health and residential bylaws. Includes 1-day trade buffer for material curing.
  • Full heavy-duty Correx and dust sheeting protection to be laid across hallway and access areas.
  • Works built to British Standards (including BS 5385 wet zone tanking standards).
